19th-century Small Convex French Mirror #1

Within John Derian's curated collection of antique art and mirrors is this convex mirror "butler's mirror" or "witch's mirror". Featuring an ebonized frame and an inner gold-toned rim, the mirror glass bulges outward to offer a wide-angle, distorted view of the surroundings. Historically, these mirrors were popular in 19th-century dining rooms, allowing butlers to observe the entire table efficiently.
